Box Beams
/i//tn_griffo1.JPG

Box beams or "faux beams" are timbers made from hewn faces into hollow  two, three, or four sided beams.  We take old growth logs and hand hewn planks with a broad axe into hollow timber for decorative purposes.  Pipes or electrical chases can be hidden inside of the beams.  They can also be used on ceilings and walls for an elegant old world look. Our beams are very authentic looking because we fabricate them the way pioneers did 200 years ago, all by hand. No short cut or power tool can produce a more realistic look. We can manufacture box beams from antique hewn beams on a limited basis.
